Studio

Living in the Napa Valley, working from my studio while being surrounded by the beauty of the natural environment allows me to incorporate the essence of what is important to me. Spending meaningful time with family, being in the garden, growing some of our food, and cooking and canning, engaging in the local community are all vital. Growing up in San Francisco and Northern California imprinted an appreciation of the drama of the California Coast and the beautiful natural and open vistas of the region. Growing up in Paris and Europe, with the first hand exposure to the Impressionists and Pointillism, as well as later exposure to the California Colorists movement, has all had a lasting influence on my own style.
